About Me!

I am so excited to be back at Mt. Everest Academy for a third year. The students, parents and staff are just an incredible group of people and I feel so lucky to be a part of this school! I have been teaching for over 16+ years and received my teaching credential right here through SDSU. I have two awesome kids! I have an 18 year old daughter, Brooke and a 16 year old son, Blake. I married into the military and because of this, I have moved all around. It has also allowed me to teach in many different places and in many different capacities. I have taught Kinder, 2nd and 3rd grade as well as ART and Math Intervention. I am an energetic, positive and passionate teacher who loves working with kids. My expectations are high, but I will always find the FUN in everything we do!

Middle School ART

* Students will develop their skills in communicating visually and verbally through ART * Students will gain confidence in talking about and creating works of ART * Students will learn more about themselves through ART * Students will expand their knowledge of ARTists and ART historical trends and periods

Elementary Art

* Students will learn about and apply the 7 Elements of ART * Student will also learn about The Principles of Design * Students will create, develop and discuss their ART with their classmates * Students will be encouraged to express themselves artistically without judgment.
